Though the footprint of The Hidden House is small (it seats 34 guests), beyond the iron entrance gate, the property offers four different dining experiences in one location, according to Jacobs. Built in 1879 on 3.42 acres of land, this Victorian beachfront estate draws a sophisticated yet bohemian clientele. For those looking to unwind, there’s no shortage of relaxation space—be it heated swimming pool or Zen walking garden. While this contemporary glass residence hardly looks shabby on the outside, the interior offers even more reasons to marvel at one of Canada’s most prestigious addresses. There’s a distinct sense of calmness in this modern home, in part due to features such as indoor pool and spa, windows overlooking the night-lit tennis court, yoga (or art studio), and a four-car garage leading directly to a sun-soaked mudroom.

Just like a sculptor removes several pieces and layers of material in order to create a specific shape, the architect demolished certain elements and uncovered others.
